6063 Aluminium Alloy — Technical Data

A heat-treatable extrusion alloy selected for architectural shapes, visible finishes and heat sinks. Surface requirements should be specified separately from mechanical properties.

Selected reference facts; incomplete alloy coverage. Keep typical values, source minima and composition limits distinct. Reference records are not certificates or design allowables.

Fabrication and material selection

State the exposed faces, finish and protective packaging in the enquiry. Weld regions may lose strength. T5 and T6 denote different processing histories; use the exact supplied condition.

Applications and product forms

Architecture, Electrical components, Heat sinks

Standards and acceptance

Identify the governing product specification by the actual form and manufacturing route. A grade designation alone does not establish compliance or equivalence. Confirm the edition, required condition, inspection and dimensional limits through the supplier and an authorized specification.

Technical questions

Are typical values delivery limits?

No. A typical reference value describes the source condition; it is not a guaranteed minimum for a delivered lot.

Which temper and thickness should I compare?

Compare the same material form, temper, thickness/test condition, unit and value basis. Different conditions cannot be silently treated as interchangeable.

Technical sources and verification

Selected reference facts checked 14 October 2026. Source values apply to their stated material condition and are not certification of supplied stock.
