Estimate stock quantities for identical cuts using a conservative kerf allowance for every piece.
Method and assumptions
Pieces per stock = floor(stock length / (cut length + kerf)). Stock count = ceil(quantity / pieces per stock). Assumes one kerf per piece, identical cuts and no end trim or defects. Example: 6000 mm stock, 1000 mm cuts, 3 mm kerf, 10 pieces require 2 stock lengths.
