Estimate sheet quantities for a uniform rectangular blank grid, with kerf and optional rotated orientation.
Method and assumptions
Uses a uniform rectangular grid and charges a kerf allowance to each part in both directions. Optional rotation compares the two uniform orientations; mixed nesting, edge trim and defects are excluded. Example: a 2000 × 1000 mm sheet with 500 × 500 mm blanks and zero kerf holds 8 blanks; 16 blanks require 2 sheets.
