Estimate resistance from length, cross-sectional area and resistivity at the specified material temperature.
Method and assumptions
R = ρL/A. Enter resistivity in Ω·m and area in mm². Assumes uniform DC current and a stated temperature; excludes joints, skin effect and temperature rise. Example: ρ = 2.82e−8 Ω·m, L = 1 m, A = 100 mm² gives 0.000282 Ω. The sample resistivity is an illustrative input, not a certified alloy property.
