6005A Aluminium Alloy — Technical Data

A heat-treatable extrusion alloy for solid and hollow structural sections. The letter suffix identifies a distinct designation; it is not interchangeable with 6005.

Selected reference facts; incomplete alloy coverage. Keep typical values, source minima and composition limits distinct. Reference records are not certificates or design allowables.

Chemical composition

Composition coverage remains pending source review.

Fabrication and material selection

Match the complete designation and temper. The chemistry reference includes a combined manganese-plus-chromium limit; composition is withheld until those compound constraints are represented in the data model.

Applications and product forms

Confirm the end-use requirements against the supplied material and governing specification.

Standards and acceptance

Identify the governing product specification by the actual form and manufacturing route. A grade designation alone does not establish compliance or equivalence. Confirm the edition, required condition, inspection and dimensional limits through the supplier and an authorized specification.

Technical questions

Are typical values delivery limits?

No. A typical reference value describes the source condition; it is not a guaranteed minimum for a delivered lot.

Which temper and thickness should I compare?

Compare the same material form, temper, thickness/test condition, unit and value basis. Different conditions cannot be silently treated as interchangeable.

Technical sources and verification

Selected reference facts checked 14 October 2026. Source values apply to their stated material condition and are not certification of supplied stock.
